Project: Cut and Paste a Name in the Pop Art style
Materials: Videos: "Roy Lichtenstein," "A Guide to Pop Art," "Ben-Day Dots," and "Pop Art Name." a variety of colored construction paper, pencil, one inch circle templet, glue and scissors. Objective: Learn about the history and the artists who led the Pop Art movement. Use the information learned to create a cut and paste Pop Art of a name of your choice. Procedure: Watch the informative videos: "Roy Lichtenstein," "A Guide to Pop Art," "Ben-Day Dots," and then watch the instructional video, “3 to 5 Pop Art Name," once and then watch it again as you work. Follow along and pause as needed. Take a picture of your work. Post it along with a critique. Review the procedure by rewatching the video on the home page on critiquing. Project: Painted Textured Cut and Paste
Materials: Videos: "It's Mine!" "3 to 5 S1 V2 L9 It's Mine," white paper, paint brush, sponges, tempera paint, glue stick and scissors. Objective: Paint textures on white paper for water, plants, rocks and frogs. Use the different textured papers to assemble a picture that depicts a page from the story, "It's Mine," by Leo Lionni. Procedure: Watch the video, about the book, "It's Mine!" then watch the instructional video, “K2 V2 S1 L9 It's Mine," once and then watch it again as you work. Follow along and pause as needed.
